イングランド・サリー州で牛の口蹄疫発生を確認：連合王国は欧州共同体コントロール措置を適用
【3日付・6日欧州委員会発表】欧州委員会は、本日、連合王国動物衛生当局より、イングランドサリー州ギルフォード（Guildford）近郊の牛家畜用地において口蹄疫の発生を確認したとの報告を受けた。口蹄疫に関して規定したすべての欧州共同体法令が適用されており、その中には、感染が疑われるすべての動物を殺処分することや、感染例から半径3キロメートルの防護地域と半径10キロメートルの監視地域を設定すること、生物学的安全性の強化も含まれる。さらに、連合王国全土にわたって、すべての反芻動物と豚の移動禁止が発令された。
欧州委員会は、連合王国当局と緊密な連絡を取りつつ業務を行っている。欧州委員会は、月曜日に、動物の移動制限と連合王国産の製品の処分に関して、欧州共同体法令により適用される措置を確定する緊急決定を採択する予定である。さらに、ウィルスの正確な菌株を特定する検査が、パーブライト（Pirbright）の共同体関係研究所において行われているところである。
