フェアホイゲン副委員長が11月9日の欧米経済理事会第一回会合の議長を務める
【8日・欧州委員会発表】欧米経済理事会（TEC = Transatlantic Economic Council）が、明日、ワシントンDCで会合を行う予定である。欧米経済理事会の目的は、規制による貿易障壁の削減・知的財産権の保護・安全な通商の保証・金融市場の統合・イノヴェーションと技術の促進・投資の促進に関する欧米共同行動を強化することである。欧米経済理事会は、2007年4月のワシントン欧米首脳会議で、欧米間の経済統合を促進するために、EUと合衆国の指導者が創設したものである。明日のワシントンの会合では、欧州委員会のギュンター・フェアホイゲン副委員長とホワイトハウスのアラン・ハバード国家経済会議議長が共同議長を務める予定である。フェアホイゲン副委員長は、ポルトガルの経済通商大臣マヌエル・ピーニョ、チャーリー・マクリーヴィー委員（域内市場・サービス担当）、ピーター・マンデルソン委員（通商担当）、メグレーナ・クネヴァ委員（消費者保護担当）、ラースロー・コヴァーチ委員（租税・関税同盟担当）を含むハイ・レベル代表団の団長をつとめる。
