欧州委員会が飼料とペットフードの上市に関する法令の簡素化・明確化・現代化を提案
【4日・欧州委員会発表】欧州委員会は、本日、動物用飼料とペットフードの表示と上市に関する現行の手続を著しく簡素化するとともに、現在同様の高水準の動物健康・動物福祉・公衆衛生の保護を維持しつつ制度全体を効率化する規則案を採択した。規定の現代化は、EUの家畜分野（EU全農業生産のほぼ半分を占める）に利益をもたらすとともに、その競争力の促進を助ける。飼料産業にイノヴェーションの可能性を与えることによっても、これらの変革は増進されることになる。飼料産業・ペットフード産業は、合計で概ね500億ユーロの売上をあげている。最後に、EUにおいてペットを飼っている6200万件の家計が、購入するペットフードの真の内容を評価できるようになる。
