欧州委員会：ビスケー湾のアンチョビ禁漁は継続
【19日・欧州委員会発表】最近の科学的諮問と加盟国の具申を詳細に検討した結果、目下今年末までの禁漁となっているビスケー湾のアンチョビ漁は解禁しないものとした。欧州委員会漁業科学技術経済委員会（STECF）が最近行った諮問は、「2007年における完全禁漁以外の管理措置は考慮されるべきものではない」というものであった。この勧告について漁業科学経済委員会が依拠したのは、春のストック状況調査の間に収集されたデータである。漁業科学経済委員会は、成魚のストックは3万トンであると推計している。この数字は、昨年春の1万8640トンよりも多いが、依然として商業漁業を安全に再開できる水準を相当に下回っている。激減したストックの状況やアンチョビの寿命が短いことに鑑みれば、すべての成魚をストックの回復に振り向けることが肝要である。この禁漁により水産業者が受ける影響を和らげるため、助成金が供与されている。
